This 1850 Colonial in Dedham’s Precinct One may need updating, but it still has period details. And it’s listed for well under $1 million.
The 3,561-square-foot home at 135 Court St. sits on nearly a half acre and has five bedrooms, 2.5 baths, and an asking price of $899,000, according to the listing.
Listing agent Meg Cabot of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage said she’s already had a lot of interest. The home features high ceilings, “very tall windows,” and a fireplace, Cabot said. “They’re the original pine floors in a lot of rooms.”
Several rooms have crown molding, and there are front and rear staircases. The home has been “well maintained,” she noted, and it has a lot of potential. “It needs some updating, but I think there’s a great opportunity for someone to come in and make it exactly what they like.”
Adjacent to the kitchen, there’s an area that could be repurposed as a mudroom, according to Cabot, and the grounds could accommodate a garage. The fenced-in property has mature plantings and trees.
