Are you watching Joe Biden’s town hall or Donald Trump’s town hall?
It's Trump vs. Biden, just not on the same channels.
Tonight, presidential candidates will vie for the vote, and for the TV ratings, on dueling prime time spots across major networks.
Democratic Challenger Joe Biden will participate in a town hall on ABC, while incumbent President Donald Trump will appear in a town hall on NBC, both airing at 8 p.m. ET.
The two separate slots came into fruition after Trump refused to debate virtually, per the Commission for Presidential Debates’ decision that it would be the safest option for all parties involved, following the president’s recent coronavirus diagnosis. Since the announcement of Trump’s town hall, NBC employees have spoken out against the network’s decision. We asked readers what they thought about Trump’s refusal to debate virtually. Nearly 75% said the commission made the right call.
Now we want to know: Which candidate will you tune into tonight? Will you watch Joe Biden’s town hall or Donald Trump’s town hall? Will you try to flip channels to hear both sides? Or maybe regular programming like “Big Brother” on CBS is more appealing to you and you’d rather forego politics for the night? Let us know by taking the survey below or by emailing [email protected]. We’ll be watching and looking out for readers’ responses on how the dueling town halls went after they air.
