Nearly two weeks after police responded to a late night party, the owners of about 80 cars that were gathered along a street in Jamaica Plain were issued violations, Boston police announced Thursday.
Earlier this month, Boston police responded to a report of an officer in trouble around 485 Canterbury St. in Boston, which abuts Forest Hills Cemetery. When they responded, officers found an officer who was trapped inside his vehicle as people jumped and banged on his car, police said.
Officers, and their body cameras, recorded “approximately 80 reveler vehicles” as the crowd began to disperse. That night, Boston police arrested three men and recovered two firearms and two stolen vehicles, they said.
Using the body camera footage, police said, they issued 78 motor vehicle citations, one for “every vehicle” the responded officers recorded. The citation was a violation of “No Stopping/No Standing.”
The “late night reveler” investigation is ongoing, Boston police said.
