Boston police investigating after elderly man dies from head injuries
Authorities are calling on the public for information about how the man was injured.
Homicide detectives are searching for answers after an elderly man died from head injuries investigators believe he sustained in Mission Hill on Tuesday night.
Officers responded to Brigham and Women’s Hospital around 12:20 a.m. Wednesday to gather information about a man, believed to be in his 70s, who was brought there with life-threatening injuries, Boston police said in a statement.
“The victim, suffering serious head trauma, later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased,” police said. “BPD Homicide Investigators are asking for the public’s help if they have information regarding the victim’s injuries.”
Investigators believe the man may have been injured near 868 Huntington Ave. between 8 and 9 p.m. on Tuesday.
Officials are asking anyone who was in that area around that time who may have information helpful to authorities to call detectives at 617-343-4470.
