A Barnstable woman was arrested for allegedly threatening two golfers with what appeared to be a pistol Wednesday. Police later confiscated only rubber guns from her residence.

Chrystal Lawson, 39, of Marstons Mills faces two counts of assault by means of a dangerous weapon, according to Barnstable police.
At 3:38 p.m. on Wednesday, police were called to Olde Barnstable Fairgrounds, a gold course in the village of Marstons Mills. Two young men told officers that, as they were playing, a woman appeared from the woods and yelled at them to stay out of her yard.
When the golfers said that they were not in her yard, she allegedly brandished what appeared to be a black pistol at them. As she waved and pointed it at the golfers, they immediately called police, they said. Responding officers shut down a portion of Race Lane while they searched for the suspect, police said.
Police surrounded Lawson’s residence and she exited the home without incident. Lawson was taken into custody, and police searched her home. They found two rubber guns and a replica pistol magazine, officials said.
Lawson was booked at the Barnstable Police Department. She was released on personal recognizance and is set to be arraigned in Barnstable District Court on Friday.
