Matt Damon will host ‘Saturday Night Live’ in December
Will the Cambridge native once again lampoon Brett Kavanaugh?
Steve Carell isn’t the only local actor taking on “Saturday Night Live” hosting duties this season.
“SNL” announced on Twitter Monday afternoon that Matt Damon will host the Dec. 15 episode of the long-running variety show, with Marc Ronson and Miley Cyrus serving as musical guests.

Damon, a Cambridge native, hosted the show’s season 28 premiere on Oct. 5, 2002, with musical guest Bruce Springsteen. He already appeared on “SNL” once this season, lampooning Associate Justice of the Supreme Court Brett Kavanaugh and his contentious confirmation hearing during the show’s Season 44 premiere on Sept. 29.
The show also announced that Claire Foy (“The Crown”) will host the Dec. 1 episode with musical guest Anderson .Paak, while Jason Momoa (“Aquaman”) will host the Dec. 8 episode with Mumford & Sons as musical guests.
